Agents in First Referral are under a different set of guidelines than Active Agents. When you joined First Referral you signed an agreement. This agreement stated the following: “Referral Agent’s agree to be a “referral agent” only. Referral Agent is not authorized to list or sell properties, nor engage in any other activity which might be construed to require membership in a local Board of Realtors or Multiple Listing Service.” Referral agents may hold an open house for a Dennis Realty Agent; however, you may not perform any other activity that would require MLS or NAR membership and involve working with another broker or agent outside of our company. First Referral Associates are also not covered under our Errors and Omissions Insurance and are not members of the MLS, so activities are greatly limited. First Referral Associates are required to fulfill continuing education and license renewal requirements, which includes informing the State of any changes in name or address of the Associate.
